Wow I cant believe its almost the end of June, I'm a little behind.
The weekend of June 4th, Boston and I went on Thursday and did the lower loop of Yellowstone. We stopped at Grant and did the boardwalk there which was beautiful its right next to Lake Yellowstone. Then we headed over to Lake Hotel where we got to see a room and ate at the EDR there, the food was much better there. We went passed fishing bridge out the East entrance and got to see a Grizzly. He walked literally 10 feet from my car, it was amazing. I got some good photos I will post soon. I was so excited, he was awesome. Then we headed up towards Canyon falls and got to see a wolf about 20 feet away, no good pics though he was to fast. We stopped at the lower falls and Boston and I attempted a jumping pic about 20 times I don't think we ever got it right. The Yellowstone Grand Canyon is so beautiful I like it more than the Grand Canyon. Then we headed over to the Norris Geyser Basin, I'm going to have to go back to that one bc it is huge. We did a little bit of it but we were getting tired so we only saw a small portion. On the way back home we saw some red dogs (baby bison) playing.
The next day we hiked Fairy Falls and Mystic falls. Both amazing waterfalls. It was so relaxing and we played on the rocks near Mystic falls.
Weekend of the 11th I got to go to Bozeman and See X Men: First Class, it was awesome!!!! I loved it. I went with Ed and we stayed at the Royal Lucky 7, it looked a little sketch on the outside but was cheap and nice on the inside. We did a little shopping but didn't find anything worth my while. Headed back because I got to go to the Roosevelt Cookout. Every front desk person i the park plus activities got to go. That was so much fun. We road out on carriages pulled-pushed by horses and they served us a steak meal. Best edr meal I have had so far. I ate so much I felt sick but it was work it. They had Roosie beans which had 3 different kinds of beans. They also had corn bread, potato salad, watermelon, cole slaw, cowboy coffee (they put it in a kettle over a fire for 6 hours, its so strong but good) and peach cobbler. We got to hear about how the cook out came about and the history of it. It was a great experience. They also had a man playing old country music on his guitar, really set the mood.
After the Cookout there was some of us that headed out camping. My good friend Patty decided to come along, I'm so glad she did. We got to the campground we wanted to stay at but it was full. So Natasha being the sweet talker she is ask the French kid who was traveling along if we could share his campground with him. He hung out by his (our) fire that night and we drank some wine. Our frenchmen took a pic of our group I think he enjoyed our company. He was really nice and was out to have a good trip.
I forgot we saw two grizzlies that weekend as well. One was playing in the water and the other was just walking not to far from the road.
Weekend of the 18th we went camping 40 miles outside of Cody in the Shoshone National Park. On the way out there we saw 2 grizzlies and 1 cub, he was so cute! The drive out was beautiful where our tent was there was a stream about 5 feet away it was so relaxing. We did a lot of shopping this weekend and I finally got some hiking boots and a day pack. Spent way to much money but saved about $40 with a coupon... yay! We went to the Irma hotel and watched the nightly shoot out and we also went to the Buffalo Bill Museum. The museum was awesome we spend about 5 hours there. It huge and has a variety of different things. They have the biggest gun collection, a total of I think 2700 guns.
I will try to stay more up to date. Thanks for reading and I miss everyone!
